In connection with the 20th anniversary of the Hvide Sande Masterclass, an atmospheric prelude concert is presented at Ringkøbing Town Hall with young musicians from this year’s international masterclass, as well as this year’s Ukrainian Piano Professor, Maria Pukhlianko.
The concert gives the audience the opportunity to experience the latest generation of classical musicians as they bring music to life with presence, musicality and personal interpretation. In the beautiful setting of Ringkøbing Town Hall, the audience gets very close to both the music and the musicians.
The kick-off concert marks the beginning of the anniversary celebrations and bears witness to 20 years of musical immersion, talent development and international outlook in West Jutland.

Here, generations, tradition and innovation meet when classical music comes alive in the present – carried by young artists’ interpretations, courage and musicality. The church’s special sound space envelops the music and creates an intimate meeting between sound, space and audience.
The concert is part of the anniversary celebrations and marks 20 years of immersion, talent development and an international musical community where music continues to find new voices and new paths.
Afterwards you can experience a Nachspiel at Kuben Skolevej 44, Herborg, 6920 Videbæk, where you can enjoy a snack and watch the musicians in a more informal, relaxed mini-concert with encores.

In a world that feels increasingly uncertain, we all need to focus on peace and reconciliation. And what better way to make connections across people and borders than through music?
Therefore, we are pleased to present a special peace concert at FLUGT – Refugee Museum of Denmark, which opens exclusively for concert-goers today. Here you can experience how music brings young people from many different nationalities together in a close musical and human presence in interaction with this year’s Ukrainian Piano Professor, Maria Pukhlianko.
After the concert, we will “taste the world” in a culinary buffet with the chef’s amazing dishes from around the world.

In 2005, Sakari Tepponen was the driving force behind the creation of the Hvide Sande Masterclass. During a visit to Hvide Sande, he experienced a special sense of tranquility and culture that inspired him to create an international masterclass together with founder Anne-Marie Hjelm. The vision was clear: young musicians from around the world should have a unique opportunity to focus on their musical passion and improve their skills through daily masterclasses and concerts.
Unfortunately, Sakari Tepponen has become very ill, but his vision lives on: that young musicians should have the opportunity to receive daily instruction through open master classes, serving as inspiration to all who listen.

At this concert, a completely new work by Sophie Søs Meyer will be premiered. We want to create a focus on both living and past female composers to help tell the story of women in music and let the music live through new compositions. Therefore, we are creating a concert with several works by female composers and putting a special focus on the young up-and-coming Danish composer Sophie Søs Meyer, who is known for creating a sonic universe of recognizable sounds and subtle innovative sounds.

Hvide Sande Masterclass is pleased to present an exciting crossover concert in collaboration with the venue Generator. The concert brings classical music into dialogue with other genres and forms of expression and creates a vibrant meeting between tradition and renewal.
The audience can look forward to an energetic evening where young musicians from the international masterclass explore new musical boundaries and give classical music a contemporary expression in the raw and atmospheric setting of Generator. The crossover concert is an expression of the masterclass’ curiosity, openness and desire to let the music move across formats and expectations.
All concerts are public events.
