Artem Poludenny, Ukraine
Artem Poludenny is a cellist and started playing music at the age of 7 at the Kyiv Children’s Academy of Arts. From 2003 to 2006 he continued his studies at the Kyiv Secondary Specialized Music School, named after Mykola Lysenko. In 2011 he graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine, class of professor, Ivan Kucher. During his studies he also won prizes in several international and national competitions, and participated in master classes of such leading masters as Wen-Sin Yang, Valery Sokolov, Henrik Brendstrup, José Ribera, Denis Severin and David Geringas. As a soloist he has collaborated with such groups as the National Ensemble of Soloists ”Kyiv Chamber”, Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra, State Symphony Orchestra and others. From 2016-2020 he was a professor at the Dnipro Academy of Music. Artem Poludenny is a co-founder of the NotaBene Chamber Group.
Sofie Meyer, Denmark
Soﬁe Meyer is a Danish composer, violin player and improvisor. She graduated with honours from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn (Masters) where she studied composition under the guidance of Helena Tulve. Throughout the years she has received guidance from composers such as Toshio Hosokawa, Chaya Czernowin, Bent Sørensen and Juste Janulyté and her works have been performed by ensembles including the ICTUS Ensemble, Ensemble Fractales and YXUS Ensemble. In 2021 she presented Denmark at the Young Nordic Music Festival and she is the winner of Deus Ex Musica 2022. Soﬁe is interested in working with ecological aesthetics of listening and for the time being her projects evolve around natural phenomena of cellular life and death rules, searching to transform those into sonic perceptions.
Maria Pukhlianko, Ukraine
Maria Pukhlianko is an Honor Artist of Ukraine, laureate of international piano competitions, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Professor of Summer musical academy (under patronage of International Competition for young pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz), associate Professor at the P.I.Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. She was born into a family of musicians. Maria started her piano lessons at the age of six. She graduated with a Master’s Degree at the P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Maria is a talented pianist who has a delicate sense of style, poetry, creative imagination, strong artistic will and musical conviction. She constantly plays with leading Ukrainian orchestras. She has recorded two CDs – ”Slavonic miniatures” and ”Piano with orchestra: Maria Pukhlianko and Ensemle of soloists SOLO PLUS”.
